Nixon and Adrienne Penny run a bright, busy dining room
with an open kitchen and a small deli counter. The menu
changes often, and it might include braised short ribs in
merlot sauce with saskatoons, Alberta lamb shanks braised
in red wine with aromatic spices, or grilled lamb loin with
raspberry sauce and black pepper crème fraiche. The
daily soup is made with fresh stock, and local vegetables
and Alberta lamb are favourite ingredients. Darren smokes
his own salmon - try it with maple cream cheese on sourdough.
Excellent house-made breads and lots of calorific desserts.
